Where the jump happens
Skydive Pattaya vs Chiang Mai is the search people make before they pick a city, and this page answers it with its limit stated first: all seven tandem jumps compared here leave from the dropzone on the coast near Pattaya, from $304, and they are listed from Bangkok, Pattaya and Rayong Province. Nothing in Chiang Mai is bookable through this site, so what follows is what the seven listings state, and where our numbers stop.

Quick answer
The short answer. On skydive Pattaya vs Chiang Mai this site can speak for one side only. The seven listings here are tandem jumps above the Gulf of Thailand coastline, from $304 for a four-hour listing up to $387 for the shortest one. There is no Chiang Mai listing in this selection, so this page quotes no northern fare, no northern altitude and no northern operator. If your trip is already in the north, the straight answer is at the foot of this page.
Every trip, current fare
The seven listings in the order the site shows them, with the hourly figure where a length is published. Two carry no length, so those rows keep a dash.

The limit of this comparison
Seven listings, one coast, and a northern half of the question we cannot price.
Most pages that answer skydive Pattaya vs Chiang Mai put both places in the same column and fill the gaps. This one does not, for a simple reason: the selection on this site has seven tandem listings and all seven sit on the eastern seaboard. Four are listed from Pattaya, two from Bangkok and one from Rayong Province. There is no northern listing to compare, so there is no honest column for it.
What we do have is the text the operators wrote. Five of the seven descriptions put a number on the exit: 13,000 feet on four of them, and 4 km on the Bangkok and Pattaya jump, which is the same height written the other way round. The Ocean Views listing is the one that counts out the jump itself, at 60 seconds of freefall and a five-minute canopy ride, and it is also the one that lists a personalised certificate and souvenirs. Two descriptions give a speed instead of a height.
So on skydive Pattaya vs Chiang Mai the useful half of the question is answerable in detail: what the jump is, how long the listing runs, what it costs, which city it starts from. The other half is not, and inventing it would be worse than leaving it out: no northern fare, aircraft, dropzone or review count is in front of us.
That is also why the fares below read better as a set than one against another. The spread is $304 to $387 and the published lengths run from 1.5 to 4 hours, but a longer listing is not a longer jump: those hours are ground time and transfer as well.
Listing by listing
Each line below comes from the operator text on that listing, not from the attribute tags, which is why some are shorter.
The listing with the reviews: 178 of the 210 on this site, rated 4.7. The text describes a tandem jump above the eastern seaboard over Bangkok and Pattaya, leaving the aircraft 4 km above the coastline of the Gulf of Thailand. It is listed from Bangkok and it is the lowest fare of the seven.
The most detailed description in the set, and the second most reviewed at 16 reviews rated 5.0. It names 13,000 feet, 60 seconds of freefall, a five-minute canopy ride, a personalised certificate and souvenirs, with pick-up and drop-off in Pattaya written into the text rather than left to the tags.
Five reviews, rated 4.9. The description is the only one of the seven that names USPA-approved instructors, gives a freefall speed of over 120 miles per hour and describes 360-degree ocean panoramas, with hotel transfers from Pattaya. The length field on this listing is empty, so no hours are quoted here.
Five reviews, rated 5.0, and the one listing of the seven that starts from Rayong Province. The text promises views of the Gulf of Thailand and the beaches on the way down from up to 13,000 feet, and the return transfer is in the title rather than buried in the description.
Two reviews. The shortest published listing and the highest fare of the seven: a tandem jump from 13,000 feet above sea level, landing under a parachute. The description says little beyond that.
Thailand: Tandem Skydive Over Bangkok & Pattaya Adventures at $357 runs 3 hours and names 13,000 feet above the Gulf of Thailand and its coastline, on two reviews. The THAISKY listing at $320 gives a freefall speed of up to 220 kilometres per hour, also on two reviews, and carries no published length.
Starting city
The jump is on the coast near Pattaya; the city on the listing is only where you are collected.
This is the part of skydive Pattaya vs Chiang Mai that changes someone’s morning, and it is the part most comparisons skip. The jump itself happens over the coast near Pattaya. The city on the listing is where the booking starts you, not where the aircraft is.
Four listings start in Pattaya, two in Bangkok and one in Rayong Province. The Bangkok pair is the point to read twice: the Dropzone Experience listing is filed under Bangkok, yet its own description says hotel transfers from Pattaya. Where the two disagree, the description is the thing the operator wrote about the day, so treat the coast as the starting point and the city as the catchment.
Transfers are written into four of the seven listings: two in the text, as pick-up and drop-off in Pattaya and as hotel transfers from Pattaya, and two in the title, as a return transfer and as optional transfers. The other three say nothing about getting there, which is a gap in the description rather than a statement, and the listing page is where that is settled before paying.
So the starting city is the first filter and the fare is the second. Pattaya opens four of the seven, including the most detailed description at $330. Bangkok points at the $304 listing, the cheapest here and the one carrying 178 of the 210 reviews. From the Rayong side it is the $357 listing.

Deciding
Where skydive Pattaya vs Chiang Mai ends in a booking, and where it honestly does not.
The $304 listing is written for you: four hours, listed from Bangkok, and the exit described at 4 km above the coastline. It is also the one with 178 reviews at 4.7, against 32 reviews across the other six listings.
Four listings start here, from $320 to $387. The $330 one spells the jump out in its own description, at 60 seconds of freefall and a five-minute canopy ride, on 16 reviews at 5.0.
Read the table above by two columns, the fare and the published length. End to end the spread is $83, and two listings publish no length at all, where the table keeps a dash rather than a guess.
Then skydive Pattaya vs Chiang Mai is not a comparison we can finish for you. This selection has nothing in Chiang Mai, so there is nothing here to book, no fare to quote and no review count to show. The section below says what that means in practice.
The honest answer
This is the question the page is named after, so here it is without the padding. If you are in the north and you want to jump there, this site sells you nothing. Every listing in the selection is a tandem jump above the Gulf of Thailand coastline near Pattaya, and the nearest of them is a long way from a northern hotel.
We are not going to fill that gap with numbers. On skydive Pattaya vs Chiang Mai the temptation is to quote a northern price, a northern height and a northern operator so the page looks complete. We have none of those in front of us, and a figure written to balance a layout is worth less than a blank.
What this page can tell you is what the trip costs on the coast if the itinerary bends that way: $304 at the low end for a four-hour listing from Bangkok, $387 at the high end for the shortest one from Pattaya, and 210 reviews across the seven. Two of the seven are listed from Bangkok, so an itinerary with the capital in it already has a listing written for that start.
If the northern leg is fixed and the coast is not on the route, the useful thing we can do is say so plainly rather than sell around it. Keep the skydive Pattaya vs Chiang Mai page for the day the plan changes.
Common questions
No. All seven listings compared here are tandem jumps above the Gulf of Thailand coastline near Pattaya, listed from Bangkok, Pattaya and Rayong Province, so this page quotes no northern fare or height.
To one side of it. The seven coastal listings are set out in detail — fares from $304 to $387, lengths from 1.5 to 4 hours, 210 reviews between them — and the northern column stays empty.
Five of the seven descriptions give a height: 13,000 feet on four of them, and 4 km on the Bangkok and Pattaya listing, which is the same exit written differently. The other two give a freefall speed instead and no height.
The published lengths are 4 hours, 3.5 to 4 hours, 3 hours, 3 hours and 1.5 hours. Two listings publish no length, so those rows stay blank rather than estimated.
Thailand: Tandem Skydive Over Bangkok & Pattaya, with 178 reviews rated 4.7. The other six hold 32 reviews between them, from 16 down to 2, so the review picture on this site rests mostly on one listing.
The aircraft flies over the coast near Pattaya. Bangkok appears as the starting city on two listings, which is where the day begins rather than where the jump happens. One of those two names hotel transfers from Pattaya in its own description.
Thailand: Tandem Skydive Over Bangkok & Pattaya at $304 is the lowest fare of the seven, and it is also the most reviewed. The highest is $387 at $83 more, on a 1.5-hour listing.
